Abstract

Utilizing music therapy has been regarded as an important aid in the medical practice. Since the middle of the twentieth century, the medical field has started recognizing music therapy as a therapeutic intervention. Nowadays, medicine has confirmed the efficacy of music therapy in many disorders. Music therapy proves to have positive psychological and physiological effects on patients. Due to the fact that music therapy is a safe, non-invasive, and inexpensive therapeutic intervention, utilization of this method is recommendable at various settings in medical communication.
